Handle Your Success
For every person that succeeds there are thousands who fail. Most times it hurts to be on the bottom but believe me it hurts more when you are on the top. It is true that Satan, who is the enemy of our soul, attacks us at the...

The Lord is Good

Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!.

Joint Support

As a church we have seen the need to create an environment where people can discuss issues that they are struggling with.  We established Joint as a Christian support group for various forms of addictions and problems people are grappling with.  We have based Joint on a support group structure, where we deal with practical issues and ultimately provide spiritual help.

Venue: The group meets every Tuesday at 7pm in the Kings Court at St Marks.

Relationship and life skills

We are living at a time when relationships and family values are under immense pressure. The demands on time and the distractions from family life have resulted in family disintegration.

In July 2006 a support group was established, focusing mainly on assisting those experiencing relationship difficulties. The focus has since been extended to include dealing with various life skills and ultimately to equip and encourage men and women to enhance and improve the quality of their relationships, particularly by ensuring their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ is primarily and most importantly in place.
It has been a great honour to see the progress that has been made by those who have taken this opportunity of learning relationship principles and concepts that have changed their outlooks and outcomes.

Our committee consists of Quentin Mace, Jeremy Delport and Jill Payne. Rev Paul Wynne Vice, one of our senior ministers, offers valuable assistance and guidance. Rev Paul is a qualified and respected counsellor at St Marks and has presented many inspirational talks at our meetings.

The ministers and staff of St Marks have covered some interesting and relevant topics, with invited guest speakers dealing with other specialised issues. Some of the topics covered include Successful Parenting, Child Custody and the payment of maintenance, Teenager problems, Debt reduction techniques and Retirement planning principles, Substance abuse and family violence, DVD’s such as the movie “Fireproof” and various others on how to enjoy quality relationships. The fellowship group meets on the last Tuesday of every month from 6.30pm to 8pm and anyone is welcome to attend.
