A historic event occurred several days ago in the prisoner swop of 1000 Palestinian terrorists for one Israeli soldier. Gilad Shalit the Jewish prisoner had spent more than 5 years in a Palestinian jail. His release from captivity is a major coup for Israel who never gave up on calling for his freedom.
The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has reached an interesting stage. International negotiators and real backers are optimistic that a two state solution is now possible. It will be hailed as a modern day miracle if Israel and an independent Palestine state could live in peace and harmony, given their violent and hostile past.
The truth is that peace in this troubled region is what the Bible predicts, however, the peace treaty is doomed to fail. When the Jews think that peace has come at last a sinister and dark force from the north, most likely Russia, will mobilise Arab nations as allies and launch an attack on a disarmed and unsuspecting Israel. This was predicted in Ezekiel 38 and 39. The good news is that Israel will defeat the armies that want to wipe her from the map of the world. Recent events indicate that such a battle is drawing closer. The struggle for the promised land is a modern day phenomenon that should make sceptics think about the accuracy of the Bible.
I request that you continue to pray for the true peace of Jerusalem and for innocent civilians on both sides who do not understand the significance of what is happening and have become victims in this titanic struggle. My book written in 1998 “Pawns on the Global Chess Board” is on sale in our bookshop and will help you to discern the times in which we live. Remember that God has a plan for man.
To WHOM does the land of Israel belong? (A speech given at the United Nations).
A representative from Israel began: “Before beginning my talk, I want to tell you something about Moses. When he struck the rock and it brought forth water, he thought, ‘What a good opportunity for a bath!’” “Moses removed his clothes, put them aside on a rock and entered the water. When he got out and wanted to dress, his clothes had vanished. A Palestine had stolen them.”
The Palestine representative at the UN jumped up and shouted, “What are you talking about? The Palestinians weren’t there then!” The Israeli representative smiled and said, “And now that we have made that clear, I will begin my speech...”
