Let’s spring into action and fulfil God’s purpose!
The cold of winter is gone? There should be no more excuses like “it was too cold to come to church” excuses. Fair weather Christians have no purpose. The poorest person in the world is a person without a purpose. The most frustrated person is a person without a vision in life.
The value of something is its rarity. You are a rare, unique creation of God. You are not a duplicate, but an original. Do you know that no one else can fulfil the purpose for which you were born? It’s not only your face or thumbprint that is different from other people but your entire being. Your molecular make up and personality is what makes you an individual. You were born to make a difference in the time period allotted to you on earth.
When you and I come to know Christ Jesus as Lord and Saviour, we discover the secret of life’s meaning. Our spirit is awakened and all things become new – 2 Cor. 5:17. As we feed our physical body so that it is fuelled and energized to live, so we need to constantly take care of our spiritual life. Neglecting church services on Sundays is like missing a meal. We deny ourselves of spiritual sustenance and the necessary nutrition to sustain our spiritual growth when we regularly neglect church fellowship.
As a member of St Marks you are expected to be part of the church fellowship on Sundays. Do not neglect your attendance, see Hebrews 10:25 and neglect your spiritual meal on Sundays as it is vital for you to fulfil your purpose of being saved. We do miss you when you are absent so I appeal to you to be more responsible toward your spiritual purpose in the life of your church.
Dark clouds are gathering on the horizon of life. The world is in a mess. Now is the time to stand up for your beliefs and make a difference in our world. The only way we can do so is to be spiritually equipped. You can’t make the team if you are not at practice. Sunday is our practice and coaching session so that we can win during the week when the game of life is played from Monday to Sunday.
We are called by God. Let’s be committed to His purpose. The winter cold is now over. The excuse of bad weather is no longer valid. We look forward to seeing you in God’s house finding your purpose. Let’s grow the vision of St Marks. Blessings
