Our Triumph Over Adversity
Sir Winston Churchill, renowned for his bulldog tenacity, spoke of victory as the free world faced defeat. Hitler’s army had pushed north in its invasion of Russia. London was bombed by the Fuhrer’s air force strikes. Europe teetered on the brink of the dark abyss of fascism. If Nazi Germany had triumphed the whole world would have been in the grip of the iron fist of an evil despot. History records that Churchill stood firm and calmed the fears of his people in their darkest hour and assured them of victory.
Character is often tested in the furnace of adversity. Victory belongs to you, the people of God.
Remember that:
- Prejudice cannot defeat Love.
- Doubt cannot overcome Faith.
- Hell cannot triumph over Heaven.
- Criticism cannot cripple confidence.
When God performs His final inspection of your life He will not look for medals or degrees but for scars.
