The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel.
Proverbs 1:1
Too often we view God as someone detached from practical living here on earth – a mysterious being in a spiritual world. On the contrary God designed planet earth and every creature on it.

Armistice Day marks the end of war and hostility. The second Sunday in November, on the Sunday closests to the 10th November, is usually celebrated as Remembrance Sunday. Men and women gave their lives for the cause of peace and global stability. Fascism raised its ugly head that led to the holocaust and the extermination of masses of innocent civilians. Remembrance Day affords us the opportunity to reflect on history and the ultimate sacrifice of precious young people who were robbed of their lives at a tender age. Many women were made widows and children were left fatherless because of the war.
The word “armistice” is from two latin words “arma” meaning arms and “stitium” meaning stoppage, simply put means stopping war. When our Lord and Saviour gave His life for us on the cross He made it possible for mankind to make peace with God. Before we became Christians we were at war with God. By accepting Christ as Saviour we, who were once enemies of God, have now become members of God’s family and army.
Our fight is against the forces of evil and only when Jesus returns will all nations know true peace. Our personal armsitice has come. May you join us in praying for the peace of Jerusalem and the salvation of souls.
Onward Christian Soldiers!!!
